3.From Mexico City: Hike Iztaccihuatl Volcano with an Alpinist

★★★★★★★★★★4.3 · 155 reviews · 11 hours · from $168

Leave Mexico City early for Paso de Cortés and La Joya, then hike Iztaccíhuatl with an English- or Spanish-speaking alpinist. Expect steep, rocky ground, thin air, and about 5 to 7 kilometers on foot. Guides such as Fabrizio, Gerson, Ivan, and Sergio have led past departures.

“Not a trip to the TOP of the Volcano, as the details suggest (and what I figured for the price and time allotted). But still an excellent way to hike and see the volcanoes. It would require more gear and more experience to hike to the summit. This hike is still challenging, and a good way to experience some altitude, with breath taking views! The guide was very good!”

4.Full-Day Manila City, Tagaytay Taal Volcano and Lake Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.3 · 139 reviews · 8 hours · from $160

Drive to Tagaytay for views of Taal Lake and Volcano, enjoy lunch with a ridge view, then return to Manila for the American Cemetery, Rizal Park, Intramuros, San Agustin Church, and Fort Santiago. A live English-speaking guide leads the small group, with hotel pickup included.

“Our guide, Malou, was very knowledgeable of the various regional areas. The things we liked the most were Malou’s wishes for us to experience new things like drinking coconut water straight out of the coconut, fried bananas, and the jeepney ride to the peak. We also enjoyed the visit to the Manila American Cemetery, the Memorial, Rizal Park and monument, and the walled city. We especially enjoyed the history lessons as we visited each of these places. Of course if it wasn’t for our courteous and safe driver, Oswald, it would not have been possible.”
